NETcon is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve McCoy as the company's new Chief Executive Officer. Steve took up his position on the 20th July 2015.

Originally from Twizel, Steve has a good knowledge of North Otago and South Canterbury having started his career on the Upper Waitaki scheme before moving on to contract management on the Clutha Dam scheme (Clyde).

From there he continued his career overseas and spent five years with Orica (Australia). He also has worked as a private consultant in both the gas and mining sectors, as well as holding a number of senior management roles during this time, including the CEO for a mining services business in Australia.

More recently Steve has been living in Hong Kong, and also worked in China consulting on modular gas fired power plants and electricity network development. Steve has experience across new technologies within the renewable energy field such as biomass, wind, solar, and storage.

Steve’s experience and skills will be valuable for the company’s growth and direction. We welcome Steve to the team.
