Helicopters are being used to string the new line for the Waihao Downs feeder.
Work continues for the new irrigation scheme south of Timaru. This is part of a project to supply power to the irrigation pumps Corner Pikes Point Road and SH82. During the first two weeks of this month helicopters are being used to string the new line for the Waihao Downs feeder.
12 NETcon staff are involved while the wiring is taking place. The total job includes six conductors with 8.6km of conductor across approx. 100 poles from the Bells Pond Substation.
