Vegetation

Our vegetation team can safely and swiftly manage your troublesome trees, hedges and shelterbelts that could be giving you problems. To ensure the security of the electricity supply and the safety of the public, we can work within the Controlled Access Zone set out in the Electricity Regulations 2023 and keep you and your property safe.

Trees and branches can fall on power lines causing power disruption and fires. Cutting and trimming trees near power lines can result in serious injury or death if not undertaken by authorised contractors.

We can undertake any arborist work that you need at your place. If you need trees and hedges cut and trimmed, contact us today for advice or a free assessment. Our awesome arborists will have those troublesome trees sorted in no time!

Safety

We operate in one of the highest risk industries, so it is no surprise that health and safety is our number one value.  This applies for our teams, our customers and the public.  No work commences without strict health and safety checks being planned and completed.

We ensure we are abreast of the latest legislation and adjust our processes and procedures accordingly.  This allows us to minimise any risk.

We also actively monitor our teams and their work.  Routine inspections and checks are undertaken to ensure that standards are being maintained.  We also undertake reactive monitoring – investigation of injuries, cases of illness, property damage and near misses.

More than just compliance, rest assured, health and safety are embedded in our culture.

Street Lighting

Street lights enable the establishment of a safe and secure environment across our roading networks for drivers, riders and pedestrians within our urban suburbs. Installed to light public roads and accessways for traffic and pedestrian safety purposes within urban areas of a city.

We are contracted to maintain the street light network for both the Timaru and Mackenzie District Councils.  We have also undertaken the upgrading of street lights to LEDs.  These provide better visibility with much less maintenance and are far more energy efficient than their historical counterpart.

Our role with street lighting includes the inspection, installation and maintenance of lighting facilities across both district’s roading network and all of the Council Properties.
