The Timaru township network upgrade consists of Overhead Line Maintenance and asset renewal
This project is currently ongoing and is to be completed in four stages. This will consist of Pole and Pole Furniture upgrades across the network. Our teams will manage the process to ensure that the electrical network is safe and reliable. We will undertake live line work to install fuses where required, doing this will reduce the number of outages which will reduce the number of customers isolated at any one time.
- Stage 1: 58 poles changed as well as cross arm changes and other equipment.
- Stage 2: Currently in progress. By stage end, we will have replaced similar numbers to stage 1.
- Stage 3: Will begin on the completion of stage 2.
- Stage 4: Will begin on the completion of stage 3.
